The 2017/18 WGEBL Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at the Nar Nar Goon Hotel on Tuesday the 29th August with a 7.30pm Start.
- The first Agenda item at every AGM is to complete a roll call of all team representatives in attendance. We MUST have a member of every team who wants to participate in the 2017/18 Season present. If a representative does not attend on behalf of your team then your team will not be eligible to play the 2017/18 season as per the League’s constitution.
- The Executive Committee need to know all teams that will be participating in the 2017/18 season at the AGM. If anyone knows of any potential new teams to the League please ask them to contact me on 0418 650 400. Any proposed new teams need to produce a letter to the Executive committee agreeing to all playing terms and conditions of the WGEBL at least 14 days prior to the AGM which needs to be signed by both the venue owner/manager and a representative of the new team. Without a letter 14 days prior to the AGM no new teams will be permitted. A copy of the WGEBL Constitution and By-Laws “Important Notice to Members” in on this website.
- Part of the AGM is to vote in your new Executive Committee for the 2017/18 season. All existing positions will be vacated and new nominations accepted for all positions. (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Administrator). This is your opportunity to put yourself forward and help grow and improve the League you choose to play in. Our Constitution gives a brief explanation of what the “Office Bearers” (Executive Committee) responsibilities are. If you would like further information regarding any of the positions please feel free to give me a call on 0418 650 400. We already know a number of committee members will not be standing again this year so new volunteers will be required.
- The AGM is also the opportunity for all members of the league to put forward any proposals they believe can improve our league. During the season I had a few people complain about various issues so if you would like to see any changes to our By-Laws this is your opportunity. You need to put in a formal proposal in writing to the League at least a week prior to the AGM.
So Teams can start to prepare for the season I have updated the Player Rankings for 2017/18 and they are now on this website along with the Team & Player Registration Forms.
All proposed changes to the WGEBL By-Laws or new Team Application Letters are to be emailed to myself email@example.com or to the WGEBL Secretary Robert Hurst at firstname.lastname@example.org
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this year’s AGM and look forward to a great season of Eightball.
